Grape harvesting, tasting and unusual comfort
Welcome to the Vineyards of Cahors Malbec for grape harvesting season
September is ending at the rhythm of the first harvest in the vineyards of Cahors, our winegrowers harvest the white grapes that always have to be picked first. So come and enjoy the changing colors of the forest and vineyards and watch the traditional Malbec grape harvest, the black wine of Cahors in the early days of October and spend an unusual holiday at les Hauts d’Albas. Visits to cellars and walks overlooking the vineyard are waiting for you during the beautiful autumn days, a few kilometers only from your original rental.
Gentle and peaceful activities by the river.
The late season and its traditional fine weather are here, an invitation for calm and quiet, exploring our beautiful Lot Valley and the vineyard. Starting from your original and modern accommodation in les Hauts d’Albas you can, for example, go fishing by the river Lot, thanks to the many facilities scattered on the calm banks of the Lot, a 2nd category river, allowing for up to the end of the year to track down predators, black bass, pike and pike-perch.
First mushrooms appearing just outside your yurt.
For lovers of the undergrowth and hiking, this is the magical season where every part of the forest offers hidden treasures: mushrooms. During your weekend in a modern yurt, you can go looking for ceps, chanterelles and other delights to accompany the omelette you’ll cook when returning, in the kitchen of your unusual accomodation.
